Audi St Lucia Launch

Audi St Lucia Launch

The Audi St Lucia Launch took place at Sandals Grand Beach Resort & Spa on Saturday 6th December from 7pm in the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom. By all reports it was a raving success, from the décor, and revolving Audi media presentations on screens in the area, to the entertainment in the form of Mr. Rob Zi Taylor, local saxophonist extraordinaire. This event and vehicle unveiling has never taken place in Saint Lucia before, so guests were doubly impressed at its presentation. A large cross-section of guests were invited, from potential buyers to longstanding business partners of the Group, competitors in the industry, government officials, members of the press, and the founding family of the J.Q. Group of Companies.

Speeches were made by the GM of JQ Motors Mr. Jason Clairmonte, Mr. Gerardo Castillo the Audi Representative for Latin America, and Mr. Rufus Bousquet the Minister of Trade, Industry, Commerce & Consumer Affairs for St Lucia. Mr. Clairmonte emphasized Audi’s role in the company and also in the St Lucian market and its importance to J.Q. Motors Ltd and the Group as a whole. Minister Bousquet spoke of the epic changes within J.Q. Motors, the significant strides in its After Sales Service in the last year and the positive corporate attitude taken by the Group in investing in a new endeavour, particularly during the current financial crisis. Mr. Castillo spoke about the brand and expressed the company’s pleasure at launching in St Lucia, as well as its ambitious worldwide goals for both sales and market share. He also mentioned that the brand had been so well received that most of the first shipment, including vehicles on display, were already sold and the incoming shipments also already had been predominantly pre-sold.

The culmination of the event resulted in a climax of excitement among the invited guests. After all speeches were conveyed, Mr. Clairmonte unveiled the vehicles to a stunned crowd who were not aware that vehicles had been placed in concealed areas of the Ballroom. On display were the Q7, TT Coupe, A4, and the A3.

Guests were invited to preview all of the available features on each model while Company staff members were also present to answers questions posed by guests.

It is now safe to say that Audi is off to an excellent start in Saint Lucia
