Jubilee at Audi: The six-millionth Audi with quattro drive rolls off the production line at the Ingolstadt plant today – only about one and a half years after the five-millionth quattro. Audi will deliver the jubilee car, an Audi SQ5 3.0 TDI quattro* in monsoon gray metallic, to a family in the United States. This new production record demonstrates the global success of Audi quattro. Since the original quattro, the first Audi with permanent all-wheel drive in the year 1980, this technology has conquered the roads of the world. With approximately 170 quattro versions, the brand with the Four Rings offers the biggest selection of all-wheel drive vehicles amongst the premium manufacturers.Read news

Jamie Green gave the large crowd of Audi fans at the Norisring rise to continue hoping for the first victory of the four rings since 2002 in the DTM race in Nuremberg but alas, the dream of clinching a home victory did not come true for Audi this year. In the Hoffmann Group Audi RS 5 DTM of Audi Sport Team Rosberg, the Briton clinched third place in qualifying – the best grid position for Audi at the Norisring in five years – and finished in second place. With year-on-year sales growth of 11.4 percent, AUDI AG has achieved the best first half year in company history. The brand with the four rings handed over around 869,350 cars to customers in the first six months. In June alone, the company delivered around 155,450 cars worldwide, exceeding the figure in the same period last year by 10.8 percent. The premium brand grew particularly strongly in North America, increasing sales by 21.2 percent year-on-year.Read news
