The new Audi R8 sports car is going into production in the autumn of 2006 at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm. quattro GmbH is responsible for developing and manufacturing the new model bearing the four rings. Some 28 million euros have been invested in the R8 production line, including the conversion and renovation of an old factory on the site. 250 employees will work on manufacturing this new model.
