Goal II – The passion of football

The cinema film Goal II masterfully conveys the passion of football on the silver screen, and simultaneously provides filmgoers with a unique look behind the scenes at Real Madrid. The production was supported by Audi, the automotive partner of top European clubs such as Real Madrid.

The dream is Real

Goal II is the story of a meteoric rise. In the second part of the trilogy, the young professional footballer Santiago Muñez receives a phone call which turns his life upside down: he is offered a transfer to Real Madrid, the biggest club on the planet and a chance all footballers dream of. With the support of great players like David Beckham, Raúl and Zinedine Zidane he takes on challenges on the field but also has to deal with the drawbacks of fame. Vehicles made by Audi can also be admired alongside the footballers.

The cast

Kuno Becker, who plays the leading role of up-and-coming football star Santiago Muñez, has also enjoyed a spectacular career and is today one of the best-known young Mexican stars. In 2003 he made his cinema debut in “Lucia, Lucia” and in the same year appeared alongside Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson in “Imagining Argentina”. In the meantime he has been voted best young actor on several occasions in his native Mexico.

His fiancée Roz is played by the multiple award-winner Anna Friel. Stephan Dillane portrays his agent.
