Adaptive air suspension (sport), which is offered as an option for the Audi A8, is the first sports suspension system to be based on the principle of air suspension. The damper and suspension characteristics are noticeably firmer than in the dynamic mode of the A8's standard adaptive air suspension. In the automatic and comfort modes, the vehicle ride height is always 20 mm lower than is the case with the standard suspension. Like the standard adaptive air suspension, the adaptive air suspension (sport) has four driving modes. The comfort mode offers a level of ride comfort that cannot be achieved with conventional sports suspension.
