Audi 100 LS, 1971

In 1966 Auto Union became a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagenwerk AG. The carmakers in Ingolstadt were prevented from developing their own vehicle. As Head of Development, Ludwig Kraus did not think very much of such directives. The Audi 100 was developed, effectively in secret, under his guidance. Many different metallic paint finishes were available for the Audi 100. Here we see an Audi 100 LS in Aeroblue metallic in a perfect holiday ambience. Advertising is an effective way of stimulating desires.
