The Front Deluxe models were among the most attractive of the DKW cars in the 1930s. It was no coincidence that they were stylistically modelled on the elegant shape of the large Horch convertibles. The Deluxe convertibles of the F 7 model series appeared in the spring of 1938. The customer was able to choose between a 2-seater and a 4-seater. The bodies were built by the company Baur in Stuttgart, which also maintained a close business relationship with Auto Union as body supplier to the brands Horch and Wanderer.
