Continuing the Horch V8 model series, the Horch 830 BL was launched in 1935 on a long- wheelbase chassis. In terms of numbers, this was one of the most successful products of the Horch factory. 50 percent of the total of 6,124 units built were Pullman saloons. There was also a 4-door sedan cabriolet and a version as a Pullman convertible. By the end of production, the engine, which had originally had 75 hp, had been enhanced twice: to 82 hp in 1937 and to 92 hp in 1938.
