With the Prinz 1000, NSU presented its new 4-cylinder model series at the 1963 IAA. The NSU Prinz 1000 had a larger compact body, allowing NSU started to encroach on the middle class. The temperamental and sporty 4-seater had oval headlights, side air grille and the characteristic cluster of six separate rear lights. It continued its career as an advanced development in 1967 as the NSU 1000. The vehicle was available in L, S and C equipment lines.
