The Audi 200 and 200 turbo were presented in the autumn of 1983. The body shell differed from that of the volume model Audi 100 only in the modified, broadband headlights, bumpers and tail lights, and in the standard use of 15" wheels. The equipment was generally kept luxurious.
The "hottest" version of the Audi 200 remained in the range for just under three years. With Metallic White, pearl effect paint finish, the wheel rims were also painted in the body colour. A total of 4767 units of the Saloon version and 1616 units of the Avant version of the Audi 200 quattro 20V were built.
