The “Shorty” was developed as a rally car to compete in Group B races. A series of 200 vehicles was needed to gain type approval. The road version was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983.
With a Torsen differential and many different variable suspension components, the short quattro could be optimally configured for any surface. 306 hp provided for breathtaking acceleration, even on dirt tracks.
