Name: Edson William Fangwa Nzeya
Degree course: Information Technology
Position: Process and Systems Integrator, IT in the vehicle
At Audi since: 2009
How I came to Audi:
I came to Audi in 2009, as an undergraduate studying Information Technology. Then, I joined Audi as a trainee and ultimately started work in my desired department in August 2011 as a Process and Systems Integrator. My job concerns the IT backend of Audi connect*, the system that creates a network between the driver and the Internet, the vehicle and the infrastructure.
My outstanding experience:
The IT backend is the link between the vehicle and the Internet. In other words: it is a key point for Audi connect and its services – from traffic information in real time through to precise travel information. Naturally it’s great being able to play a part in shaping the future of networked mobility at Audi and to ensure that data flows smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This allows our customers to use Audi connect services at any time – and this prospect is precisely what motivates me.
What I particularly like about my job:
The fascinating thing about my job is that it brings together – or more accurately fuses - two of my favourite activities. Firstly driving, and secondly the World Wide Web. I’m living my dream.
What I would like:
I’d like to be able to tell my grandchildren that I played a part in developing “IT in the vehicle” into a success story. That would make me proud.
