Audi sets the course for further growth
The Audi Group sold 1,455,123 (1,302,659) Audi models, the highest deliveries total in the history of the Company. The Company increased its revenue to a new record total of EUR 48,771 (44,096) million in fiscal 2012. This revenue growth of 10.6 percent was achieved mainly through increased vehicle sales.
The operating profit just topped the previous year’s figure at EUR 5,380 (5,348) million, despite higher expenditure on new products and technologies and significant advance payments towards the expansion of the worldwide production network. The operating return on sales of 11.0 percent was again above the long-term target corridor of eight to ten percent and comes as further evidence of the Company’s sustained high profitability.
