Wins for Audi in five “Fleet Award” categories The readers of the magazine “Autoflotte” have voted the brand with the four rings winner of the 2013 “Fleet Award” in five categories. This result means Audi has earned a podium place in every vehicle category: The A1 won the “Small Car” category, with the A3 joining it as overall winner in the “Compact Class” category. The “Full-Size” winner was the A6, and the A8 came out on top among the luxury models. Finally, the Audi Q5 emerged as overall winner of the SUVs. The fans have delivered their verdict, and the winner is – the Audi quattro. With more than fifteen thousand “Likes”, Facebook users chose eleven cars for display in the new special exhibition “I like it” to be held in the Audi museum mobile. After a successful year 2012: Audi intends to continue its growth in 2013
The Audi Group surpassed its targets for the year 2012. Despite the significant effects of the debt crisis in some countries and a contracting overall market in Europe, the company posted record figures for production, shipments, revenue and earnings. In the past financial year, the brand with the four rings sold more than 1.45 million automobiles and increased its revenue to €48.8 billion. The Audi Group was also able to increase its operating profit to €5.4 billion, a record result in the company’s history so far. In the full year, the operating return on sales of 11.0 percent was above the strategic target corridor of eight to ten percent. In 2013, the company intends to continue its growth and gain additional customers. In addition, the automobile manufacturer from Ingolstadt plans to recruit approximately 1,500 new employees in Germany alone, and will offer 700 young people an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Audi Hungaria celebrates start of production in new automobile factory
AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. is starting a new chapter in its 20-year history this Wednesday. The CEO of the Volkswagen Group, Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, and the CEO of the Audi Group, Rupert Stadler, have given the official starting signal for series production of the Audi A3 Sedan together with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Within two years, Audi constructed a complete production plant complete with press shop, body shop, paint shop and assembly lines, covering floor space of more than two million square meters at its site in Györ. The company invested a total of more than €900 million in infrastructure, buildings and innovative production equipment.

This weekend, AUDI AG honored Germany’s most successful Audi dealers for their 2012 performance in Mugello, Italy. The 25 winners of the Audi Business Cup were distinguished by their achievement of especially high customer satisfaction and a sustained, successful business development. All departments of the participating dealerships were evaluated for the com-petition over an entire year. Audi: Sales growth of 6.4 percent in May
