Audi 100 LS, 1974

In 1966 Auto Union became a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagenwerk AG. The carmakers in Ingolstadt were prevented from developing their own vehicle. As Head of Development, Ludwig Kraus did not think very much of such directives. The Audi 100 was developed, effectively in secret, under his guidance. The first facelift was made in model year 1974. On the Corona Yellow Audi 100 LS, the modifications can be seen by the more angular front wings. Under the outer skin, the modifications to the suspension were far more extensive.
