Audi sport quattro, 1984
The “Shorty” was developed as a rally car to compete in Group B races. A series of 200 vehicles was needed to gain type approval. The road version was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983. Viewed from above, the chassis shows the longitudinally installed engine and the drive concept adopted from the Audi quattro. In front of the engine is the large intercooler. The radiator for the coolant is located on the left, next to the engine.
