Name: Simon Miklós
Degree course: Mechanical Engineering
Position: Engineer in Production Planning
At Audi since: 2010
How I came to Audi:
My name is Miklós Simon, I’m 28 and an engineer. As a technology planner I work on production planning for electric motors and drive systems. I specifically look at how we can develop production processes for electric motors. It’s an incredibly diverse field and in some respects still unknown territory.
My outstanding experience:
It’s always exciting to work on something new that could produce an innovative product or process. The introduction of alternative drive systems in the automotive industry will improve the quality of people’s lives. What’s more, vehicles with electric drive have significantly less impact on the environment.
Electric mobility is a field of development that is extremely important to the company. It’s a fantastic feeling to work on electric motors that will help to shape the future of mobility. In order to innovate, we too must be ready for innovation. It was a great experience for me to have the opportunity to drive an electric car prototype. At that very moment I realised that we’re redefining mobility here. That was my magic moment.
What I particularly like about my job:
We’re a dynamic company – that’s an important quality at Audi and it applies to all employees – myself included, of course. I already know how proud I’ll be when I see the first electrically powered Audi on the road that I and my Hungarian colleagues helped to create. We’re building the future in Győr… or rather: we’re planning the future in Győr.
