No, you will be employed as a permanent employee from your first day of work.
To ensure quick integration into your work environment, you will be assigned a mentor for the first few months. Your mentor is a colleague or supervisor from your department who will support you as an adviser and contact person in the initial phase and will establish important contacts for your area of activity. In addition, as a new employee at Audi, you will participate in an introductory integration programme. The goal here is to inform you and the other new employees hired with you about the company’s history and tradition as well as about our products and customers. You will also get acquainted with the sites in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm on factory tours. To help you get familiar with Ingolstadt, we will organise a city tour for you and give you the opportunity to get to know the other “newbies” during a regular get-together. Your orientation plan includes an introduction to the functions of your department, your primary tasks, and the primary tasks at relevant interface points. You will also get to know the employees in your department and in the other departments. After about three months, you and your superior will hold a feedback meeting along with the HR department. The experience you have gained at Audi up to that point as well as the ideas this produces help determine the structure of orientation steps that might still need to be taken. Nothing, actually. For security, you should bring along your invitation to your first day at Audi. If you haven’t already done so, you should also bring your income tax card as well as all other documents required to complete the formalities of your appointment. Our colleagues from the advising HR departments will be happy to provide you with full details. You will learn about all remaining steps in dialogue with your mentor and during the introductory event on the first day.
AUDI AG has two sites in Germany – Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. You may work at both sites. In rare cases, positions are also offered at other locations, but in these cases this is explicitly stated in the specific job vacancy. Audi naturally also employs people who do not have an academic education. The reason you do not find these positions in the job market is this: As one of the biggest companies in Germany that provides vocational training, we strive to first fill these jobs with our own apprentices. Only when this is not possible is consideration given to external applicants. These positions are then usually filled through speculative applications. This means it is not necessary to post a job announcement.
A company of our size naturally also sometimes works with “smaller” partners or freelancers, but organising this is the responsibility of the individual departments. This means that if you would like to work with Audi as a business or on a freelance basis, you need to contact the department directly (such as at trade shows, conventions, or other events). Unfortunately, we cannot offer to intervene by forwarding your information or providing you with a contact person.
