The race weekend at the Lausitzring is the only DTM event in the east of Germany. The fans are always very enthusiastic about motorsport and the drivers are thrilled every time when the cars race past the impressive grandstand on the start/finish straight. From there, they also have a terrific view of the drivers heading into the first corner.

Race facts

The Lausitzring circuit is very special due to its combinations of turns in the first and final sectors. Good downforce is needed for the fast corners, just as much as a high top speed on the start-finish straight.

The best overtaking possibility presents itself in the braking zone before the first corner, thus making it very important for drivers to get a good exit out of the final corner.
