Home race

THE NORISRING IN NUREMBERG LIES JUST 90 KILOMETRES AWAY FROM INGOLSTADT. IN 2016, AUDI WON A LONG AWAITED HOME RACE HERE AFTER A 14 YEAR DROUGHT.

Redemption: After 14 years without a victory at the home race at the Norisring, Audi drivers dominated the entire race weekend in 2016. On the Nuremberg city street circuit, Audi was triumphant in both races. The 14-year long drought was thus brought to an end for the four rings.

Race facts

The Norisring is only 2.3 kilometres long and therefore the shortest track on the DTM calendar. It is situated between the Dutzendteich Lake and the football stadium.

Despite having only four corners, it is regarded as a challenging track. Good overtaking opportunities exist at the end of the long start-finish straight. The hairpin turn following the start is a tricky bottleneck.
