The DTM heads south in August to make its return to the country of Italy, where the German championship will make its debut at Misano.
Returning to Italy

In 2018, the DTM will race in Italy for the first time since the championship was held at Adria Raceway in 2010. Together with Zandvoort, the new venue at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli adds more beachside holiday atmosphere to the DTM calendar, thanks to the Italian circuit being located only minutes away from the beachfront.

Race facts

The 4.2-kilometre circuit is completely new to the DTM paddock. The venue has hosted the MotoGP for over a decade and will demand precision from the DTM drivers.

Following its reconstruction for the MotoGP debut in 2007, the track is described as a drivers’ circuit with an interesting combination of corners.
