The month of August saw the Audi Sport customer racing teams on top of the podium around the world, including an unbeaten run in the Australian Endurance Championship. 

Tim Miles and Jaxon Evans remain unbeaten in the Australian Endurance Championship. The driver duo won the second round in the Sydney Motorsport Park, after having also taken victory in the season-opener.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT celebrated a 1-2 triumph in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at the Hungaroring: Marcel Fässler and Dries Vanthoor won ahead of teammates Pieter Schothorst and Jake Dennis. At the Nürburgring in Germany, Aust Motorsport celebrated its debut victory in the ADAC GT Masters with an Audi R8 LMS driven by Kelvin van der Linde and Markus Pommer. Car Collection Motorsport celebrated a title win in the 24H Endurance Series: Max Edelhoff won the title for the best junior driver after the 24-hour race in Portimão. The Tianshi Racing Team celebrated an overall and class win with Audi R8 LMS cars in the GT Masters China at Shanghai in China. Jan Brunstedt celebrated his second victory of the season with his Audi R8 LMS ultra in the 2017 Swedish GT Championship at Karlskoga.

The nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen took to the streets of Copenhagen behind the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS during the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix. During the two-day event, the Dane took passengers for hot laps in the TCR race car in the “Race for Riget” charity event for the “Rigshospitalet” hospital.

Audi drivers stood on the podium in the ADAC TCR Germany at the Nürburgring, where Antti Buri (LMS Racing) won ahead of Sheldon van der Linde (AC 1927 Mayen e.V. im ADAC) for an Audi RS 3 LMS 1-2 in the Eifel. Two weeks later, Møller Bil Motorsport became the first Audi customer to win a race in the VLN Endurance Championship TCR class with an RS 3 LMS on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Dmitry Bragin clinched a race win in the TCR Russia Series at Moscow Raceway. In China, the NewFaster Team won five races in the opening two race weekends of the TCR China Series, three wins for Chu Han Huang and two for teammate Andy Yan. 

Ten Audi RS 3 LMS cars were purchased by the Adria International Raceway in Italy. “We are delighted to deliver race cars for the first time to a track operator who is closely connected to TCR touring car racing and who is planning some exciting projects for the future,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing.
