After his victory on Saturday, Phillip Ellis also won the second race of the Audi Sport TT Cup season opener in Hockenheim, once again in front of Gosia Rdest. For the second time, the Briton had to fight hard for his win.
Tough position-battles

Gosia Rdest once again made a strong impression in the Sunday race: the Polish racing driver overtook the Dutch Milan Dontje shortly after the start and led the field for ten laps. In a rigorous maneuvre, Philip Ellis passed her with three laps to go and went on to drive to his second victory of the season. Gosia Rdest left the race weekend having set a new record: never before has a female driver finished so far forward in the Audi Sport TT Cup. The student sits in second place, eight points behind the table-leader Philip Ellis.

Strong rookies

Yannik Brandt completed the race as the best newcomer. The Swiss started from first place, before losing the lead to Philip Ellis in lap seven. Gosia Rdest also passed the man from Forch. At the finish, the 16-year-old racing driver celebrated third place and 18 points.

The Hockenheimring is 4.574 kilometers long
