The Singleframe grille is broader and flatter, the entire front end with its reworked bumper sports a whole new geometry that exudes an even more athletic look and feel.

Eye-catching: the new headlight design. In conjunction with optional Audi Matrix LED technology including dynamic indicators, Vorsprung durch Technik is already unmistakable from a distance.

Traffic jam assist, online navigation map update, Audi pre sense front with pedestrian recognition.
The interior is dominated by the optional Audi virtual cockpit, available for the first time in the compact class.

It displays all relevant information on a 12.3-inch TFT screen in high-resolution graphics right within the driver’s line of vision. Add to that the optional driver assistance systems that are also unique in this segment and make life on the road easier. They include traffic jam assist, which works together with adaptive cruise control (ACC) and its Stop&Go feature. The assistant can be requested to keep the car at a safe distance from the vehicle in front within system parameters. And in slow-moving traffic, it will take over the steering for short periods on well-paved roads at speeds of up to 65 km/h. Together with emergency assist, which brings the Audi A3 to a safe standstill if necessary, new rear crosstraffic assist that warns of traffic passing behind the car when exiting a parking space, Audi active lane assist and Audi pre sense front including pedestrian recognition, the Audi A3 is now not only smarter, but above all even safer.

Dynamic indicators, online media streaming. Audi A3.
The rear end sporting its horizontal 3D rear light geometry and the separation edge above the newly designed diffuser emphasizes the width of the Audi A3.

Alongside new Ara Blue, there’s a choice of twelve other paint colors. The 7-speed S tronic transmission and, of course, quattro permanent all-wheel drive are optionally available for some of the wide range of engine versions on offer.

The eye-catching tornado line drawn below the lower edge of the windows and the dynamic line above the rocker panels underscore the slim, sporty character of the new Audi A3 Sportback. Standard wheel size is 16 inches, with a 17-inch version in the design and sport equipment lines. Optionally, there’s a choice of up to 19-inch versions, plus a wide range of wheel designs.

The new Audi A3 offers an array of optional infotainment highlights: MMI navigation plus with MMI touch teams up with Audi connect to bring the whole world of digital to the car. These include, for instance, navigation with Google Earth, traffic information in real time as well as pointers to parking spaces or tips on travel destinations. Transmission comes courtesy of the state-of-the-art standard LTE. Thanks to the new Audi connect SIM card pre-installed in the car, the required data flat rate is included. Cell phones are integrated via the Audi smartphone interface. The Audi phone box in the center armrest couples them wirelessly with the car aerial and allows for inductive charging.
