The Audi Sport logo ending and opener are based on pace and tempo. In contrast to frequent closing sequences, the ending has no “decelerating” effect but surprisingly directs attention to the rhombus — and therefore itself becomes a powerful moment.

TVC-ending – General

As a general rule, care should be taken to use a lot of movement or fast cuts at the end of a commercial in order to generate an acceleration which is picked up by the logo ending.

The Audi heartbeat, the acoustic trademark of Audi, remains a fixed component of the logo ending of Audi Sport.

The use of specially developed software guarantees that the production of the commercial will comply with the brand.

TVC-ending – Timing

At the start of the TVC-ending, the translucent contour of the rhombus appears full-bleed in the centre of the screen and moves away from the observer.

In doing so, it forms a “rhombus tunnel” which drags a “genuine” rhombus behind it from 01:07.

From 01:34, the name “Audi Sport” emerges “from the rhombus” moving horizontally to the right and at approx. 02:00, it forms the logo. This logo remains for approx. three quarters of a second.

Opener – General

The opener is ideally suited to online content. The viewer is quickly informed who is behind the content as the patience span on the internet is very short.

Opener – Timing

At the start of the opener, the Audi Sport logo will appear on the film footage.

After approx. one second, the Audi Sport lettering moves horizontally into the rhombus. Its shape pulsates and projects footage that is one second ahead.

The ad “starts” after approx. two seconds.

Endorsement – TVC-ending and opener

The version with rings is based on the original Audi TVC-ending and opener.

“Audi Vorsprung durch Technik” is replaced by the Audi Sport logo.

This version can be used for a limited period by markets where there is still insufficient awareness of the sub-brand.

This version is part of the TVC-ending software and may only be used in this way.

Software for a TVC ending

Using specially designed software, source videos can be added to the animated logo ending or logo opener, modified and rendered for reuse as a video or image sequence. This enables Rings and taglines to be optimally positioned and aligned.
