Corporate culture

You can only inspire others if you are inspired by what you do yourself. Our corporate philosophy is geared to creating a work environment that allows each employee to fully develop his or her ideas. At Audi, this calls for a culture marked by transparency, communication and open and fair treatment of fellow employees at all levels of the hierarchy.

Our leadership culture: responsible and valued

At Audi, leading and supporting employees in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust are inseparably linked. Clearly defined goals are therefore just as much a matter of course for us as are transparent communication and an understandable corporate strategy. Our efforts to assist and support our employees on their personal career paths include regular goal-setting meetings.
Long job tenure, a low employee turnover rate and the results of annual employee surveys all help us stay on the right path and allow each individual to achieve at the highest possible level.

4 rings. 5 continents. 1 family.

The Audi brand stands for change and technical innovation. Having the courage to change the way it thinks and question the status quo is a precondition that is critical to enabling a company to make permanent progress.

We support you in enhancing your strengths and in fully developing your knowledge. Part of this support involves creating a targeted and integrated concept for the development of each employee. Your professional development also includes quickly taking on responsibility for challenging and demanding projects. You will therefore work together with your superior in annual personnel development meetings to detail your future prospects and potential. Both salary development and qualification measures are discussed at this meeting. An important aspect here is that employees are able to influence the direction and pace of development through their own conduct and performance.

Develop around the world

As an international company, we also offer you opportunities for professional development abroad, allowing you to deploy your potential not only in the Audi plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, but also worldwide.

Corporate responsibility

Audi stands for sustainability in its vehicles and services throughout the entire value chain. For Audi, sustainable action also means bearing in mind the ecological, economic and social consequences of every decision. Only then can the brand with the Four Rings in the long term be a good employer, remain competitive, delight its customers, protect the environment and safeguard a future worth living for future generations. For that purpose Audi is pushing forward with the development of innovative drive technologies and pursuing the principles of a sustainable circular economy. In other words, sustainable action starts with procurement and goes right through to vehicle recycling.

Commitment is a matter of values

Social Commitment

We take social responsibility seriously, and not only as a company. Many of our employees also volunteer their free time to work in a variety of different areas. The company wants to recognise this dedication with its “Audi Volunteers” initiative – while also encouraging other employees to lend their help to a worthy cause. The Audi Volunteer Days present the perfect opportunity for this. All employees have the opportunity to volunteer for one day with a charitable project of their choice.

Audi’s internal “Volunteers online” platform also acts as an interface between people interested in helping, those who are already involved and social organisations. Whether it’s manual work, an excursion with elderly people or activities with children – each volunteer makes a valuable contribution. For us, volunteering means committing yourself to a diverse and open society. And at Audi, that’s a matter of values.

Commitment to culture

Commitment to culture. This is the aim behind Audi’s cultural activities. For five decades we have been supporting people who dedicate themselves to a cause and provide new impetus. World-class events can be found in our sponsorship programme, such as high-quality regional projects for budding young artists. Successful examples of our sponsorship of culture include the Salzburg Festival and the Summer Concerts presented by Audi itself in Ingolstadt.

The Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra provides a place for employees to create beautiful music and, in working with young talent, the Audi Young Person’s choral Academy is setting the tone for the future. Aside from music, we are also active in the visual arts, theatre and film – because for us, supporting culture means actively working for a multifaceted and open society.

Sport sponsorship

Sportiness is an intrinsic part of our DNA. Each Audi combines technical skill, dynamism, fascination and passion – the same values that characterise competitive sport. Just one more reason why Audi is also a partner to top national and international sports.

We support a multitude of teams, including the successful German skiing team, FC Bayern Munich as one of the world’s best football clubs or our own team of drivers for the Le Mans racing series. And when the German Olympic and Paralympic athletes compete at the Olympic Games, Audi is at their side. Athletes and clubs in football, golf, sailing, winter sports and motor racing are also sponsored.
