Audi 100 GL, 1974

In 1966 Auto Union became a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagenwerk AG. The carmakers in Ingolstadt were prevented from developing their own vehicle. As Head of Development, Ludwig Kraus did not think very much of such directives. The Audi 100 was developed, effectively in secret, under his guidance. The Tibet Orange Audi 100 Gl of model year 1974 marks the performance pinnacle of the first model generation of the Audi 100. With 112 hp, it was one of the fast cars on the outside lane.
