Audi 100 TDI, 1989

From August 1982, the revolutionary Audi 100 in streamline form was built. With a drag coefficient of just cw=0.3, it was the most streamlined series production vehicle of its time, gaining the coveted "Golden Steering Wheel" and the "Car of the Year" awards. The diesel revolution at Audi started with the Audi 100 TDI, which was presented in 1989. The 2.5-litre 5-cylinder inline direct injection engine generated 120 hp and 265 Nm of torque. It developed into a true marvel of fuel consumption.
