The DTM heads south in August to make its return to the country of Italy, where the German championship will make its debut at Misano.
Returning to Italy

In 2018, the DTM will race in Italy for the first time since the championship was held at Adria Raceway in 2010. Together with Zandvoort, the new venue at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli adds more beachside holiday atmosphere to the DTM calendar, thanks to the Italian circuit being located only minutes away from the beachfront.

Race facts

The 4.2-kilometre circuit is completely new to the DTM paddock. The venue has hosted the MotoGP for over a decade and will demand precision from the DTM drivers.

Following its reconstruction for the MotoGP debut in 2007, the track is described as a drivers’ circuit with an interesting combination of corners.

Gianna Nannini
to rock Misano

Italian rock singer Gianna Nannini will be on stage to thrill the fans during the DTM’s premiere at Misano in Italy. The concert will take place before the night race on the Saturday evening, 25 August – with the concert beginning at 20:30 CEST, before the race begins at 22:30 CEST. For the fans, their DTM tickets that are valid for the day of the concert will also grant them free admission to the concert premises – no matter what category.
