A glorious October and Indian summer: this is what DTM fans and Audi drivers alike want for the 2018 DTM finale at the Hockenheimring.

In addition to the Norisring in Nuremberg, the DTM grand finale at the Hockenheimring traditionally attracts the most spectators – especially when the DTM title battle is still undecided. Audi has had enough reason to celebrate at Hockenheim: in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2017 the title was decided here in favour of the four rings. To this day, Audi is the only manufacturer to have taken a hat-trick of DTM titles.

Race facts

The Grand Prix circuit in Hockenheim is a demanding race track with many fast and semi-fast corners in which the car must generate plenty of downforce.

In contrast, top speed is of the essence in the long, seemingly never-ending ‘Parabolika’ before the hairpin where the majority of the overtaking takes place and thrilling slip-stream duels are commonplace. The first corner after the start-finish line is a challenge.
