The Audi drivers took two podium finishes at round six of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup at the Slovakiaring.
Good start by Vernay

Audi Sport driver Jean-Karl Vernay started the Slovakian race weekend in excellent form. The professional from the Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team fought his way up to second place after starting in his Audi RS 3 LMS from fifth on the grid. As a result, he finished on the podium for the third time this season. The three privateer drivers Denis Dupont, Aurélien Panis and Nathanaël Berthon scored points in eighth to tenth places in this race.

Vervisch combative on
way to Podium

In a fascinating battle in the third race, Frédéric Vervisch rounded off the weekend with a second podium for an Audi Sport driver. Following a battle staged over many laps with WTCC World Champion Thed Björk, the Belgian took third place in an Audi RS 3 LMS from Audi Sport Team Comtoyou. Audi drivers have scored seven FIA WTCR podium finishes to date in the 2018 season. After an eleven-week summer break, the seventh round is on the agenda on the final September weekend in Ningbo, China.
