The Program Elements in our 18-month trainee program

In your individual created schedule structure you‘ll gain a broad perspective on Audi by working across different areas of the company, taking part in key strategic initiatives and benefit from valuable international experience. You’ll grow both professionally and personally – with tailored support and a clear development path.

Onboarding

The program begins with an introductory week that provides valuable insights into Audi, the Volkswagen Group, the program structure and the Audi company strategy as well as organizational setup.

Outside the Box

Gain additional perspectives on Audi’s working environment through hands-on experiences in areas such as the production line, company canteen and vehicle delivery.

Networking

Regular networking events give you the opportunity to connect with fellow trainees, alumni, Audi top management and even board members. These exchanges offer inspiring insights into different mindsets, relevant business topics and diverse career paths.

Trainee Day

Each month you’ll attend the Trainee Day, featuring inspiring talks, interactive workshops and discussions on future-oriented and exciting topics with other trainees and invited guests.

Working Groups

Various working groups allow you to explore topics beyond your own field of expertise. In small teams, you’ll help shape communication within the trainee community, develop concepts, organize networking events, or support projects in the area of corporate social responsibility.

Agile & Digital Week

In focused workshops you’ll expand your skills in digital and agile working methods.

Graduation Week

The program concludes with a graduation week, where you’ll reflect on your journey, share experiences and receive vour final feedback.

Feedback Culture

Our strong feedback culture supports your development throughout the program. After each assignment you’ll receive detailed feedback on your projects. You’ll also be in continuous exchange with your mentor, program coordination and the manager of your target department.

Target Position

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll transition into your target role within your designated department - ready to apply your experience and knowledge in practice while staying connected to your network.

Assignment Plan

Ready to accelerate your career? The Audi Global Graduate Program gives you the optimal preparation for your success at AUDI AG. Your journey begins with an comprehensive onboarding experience where you'll dive into Audi's strategy, explore current industry trends, and connect with fellow participants who share your ambition.

After onboarding, you'll start your first assignment in your target department. During your first six weeks, you'll work with your manager and our program team to design your personalized journey: two additional assignments at AUDI AG, one international assignment, and one with another VW Group brand in Germany.

Your experience goes beyond traditional office work. Through competence weeks, you'll master digital and agile methods while getting hands-on experience in our production lines, canteens, and even delivering vehicles to our customers. Throughout the program, you'll benefit from dedicated mentoring and continuous feedback. By your program graduation, you'll step confidently into your permanent role, fully prepared to drive your career forward at Audi.

During her international rotation at Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Viviana Häusler gained valuable insights into the international environment of a traditional Italian sports car brand. Application Process

Our application phase is designed with three main steps: your application, an interview, and an assessment center with the entire process taking around 3 – 4 months.

We always announce application phases in advance here on our website, so that you can prepare. Once applications open, you’ll have two weeks to apply to up to three positions of your interest. The next phase is an interview with one of our recruiters and the hiring manager for the specific position. Finally, you participate in an assessment center that usually takes place in person in our headquarters in Ingolstadt.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in a field relevant to the job description
  • Consistently above-average academic performance
  • At least three months of international experience
  • Minimum of six months of practical work experience

Qualifications

  • Excellent English skills
  • German language skills may be required depending on the specific role
  • Personal commitment beyond academics, such as involvement in university groups, volunteer work, or other projects
