I’m doing a mechatronics apprenticeship in the automation technology division. During my apprenticeship, I had some basic IT training. I really enjoyed the course and the trainer noticed that. The trainer asked me if was interested in doing an additional qualification for IT programming. And I said yes. I think it’s great that Audi supports people’s individual strengths. They take a close look at what our strengths are and where we can make best use of them. We apprentices are highly appreciated. For me, it feels good to be taken seriously and well supported.

During the apprenticeship, we learn the most important programming languages. We also learn to program robots to perfect our products and take the physical load off human workers. When I walk through the assembly lines, I am fascinated to see how perfectly the robots work together. When you stand at the end of the hall, you get to see the perfect finished product.
