Audi talents take their ideas to One Young World
Audi supports young minds and fresh ideas: 29 employees from Audi and Bentley as well as scholarship recipients from the Audi Environmental Foundation will get the chance to advance their ideas for a better world at the One Young World Summit in Manchester from 5 to 8 September 2022.
Looking forward, thinking ahead: The One Young World Summit in Manchester gives young visionaries and their ideas a stage. This year’s conference will focus on conflict prevention, gender justice, ocean ecosystems, ethical leadership, and health. More than 2,000 participants from over 190 countries are expected to attend, among them high-ranking guests from the world of politics and science, such as former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Audi will also be represented. AUDI AG is sending ten employees to North West England. An additional 15 scholarship holders will be sent by the Audi Environmental Foundation. Bentley will also be participating this year as part of the Premium Brand Group. Four delegates from the famous British manufacturer will be attending. All are committed to sustainability, resource conservation, and equality. With their ideas, they want to develop solutions for society’s most pressing problems.
Return to an in-person conference
First held in 2009, the One Young World Summit has become a permanent annual fixture for decision-makers and future leaders worldwide. Audi has attended every year since 2016. Last year, the summit was held as a hybrid event in Munich after being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now One Young World is returning to an in-person format.
Projects with potential
Audi supports forward thinkers: The Audi delegates and scholarship recipients, who are all between 21 and 35 years old, have already launched promising projects. Some ideas that originated at One Young World are already inspiring further projects. For example, Audi’s journey with the German Indian start-up Nunam, which is now successfully testing applications for second-life batteries in collaboration with the Audi Environmental Foundation, began at One Young World.

The 2022 delegates include Audians Pablo Mauricio Alvarez Perez (Mexico), Nathalie Argus (Ingolstadt), Roberta Avelino (Brussels) Tobias Bronold (Ingolstadt), Peter Buczo (Győr), Philipp Eder (Ingolstadt), Marco Klenk (Neckarsulm), Martin Daniel Pandzioch (Brussels), Christoph Praun (Ingolstadt), and Petra Váradi (Győr). Additionally, Bentley is sending the employees Kayleigh Crosbie, Zakaria El-Shanti, Emma Highfield, and Hazel Teasdale from Crewe.
