SIX VICTORIES IN A ROW!

Audi driver René Rast is the new record holder in the DTM – and runner-up 2018.

By winning both races of the final weekend at the Hockenheimring, René Rast achieved a new DTM record and secured the runner-up’s spot in the championship behind Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett. In Saturday’s race, the 31-year-old German celebrated his fifth consecutive victory. No other driver has ever achieved this feat before in the touring car racing series that has been held since 1984. On Sunday, he topped his own record with the sixth victory in a row. In the end was only lacking four points to successfully defend the title.
