FOR ME, ZOLDER IS A MINI VERSION OF THE NÜRBURGRING NORDSCHLEIFE. THE TRACK HAS MANY ELEVATION CHANGES. ON THE OTHER HAND, THIS COURSE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HAIRPIN, IS ALSO VERY FLOWING IN NATURE.

RACE FACTS

Circuit Zolder was opened in 1963 by the local motorsport club in Zolder. Between 1973 and 1984, the Belgian Grand Prix was held at the venue for a total of ten times.

The 4.000-kilometre-long race track offers drivers renowned corners such as the fast chicane and the Sterrenwachtbocht and Kanaalbocht corner sequence. The DTM visited the circuit from 1984 to 1994 and in 2002. At the return of the DTM in 2019, René Rast was victorious in the race on Sunday.
