RACE FACTS

RACE FACTS

Brands Hatch stands for motorsport history. Back in 1925, the first motorcycle races were held at the venue on a grass circuit. Legends such as Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, James Hunt or Ayrton Senna already celebrated race wins at the time-honoured motorsport track. From 1964 to 1986, Brands Hatch also staged fourteen Formula One Grands Prix. The DTM raced on the shorter “Indy Circuit” from 2006 and 2013, before the complete version was used for the first time in 2018.

Fans enjoyed two spectacular races during the DTM’s premiere on the longer Grand Prix circuit, thanks to the fact that overtaking is so difficult on the famous racetrack. A special feature: Due to local regulations, the Brands Hatch race weekend is the only two-day event on the calendar.
