Nico Müller steps up to being the most experienced DTM driver within the ABT team in 2018, as the young Swiss partners together with his new DTM teammate, rookie Robin Frijns – forming the youngest Audi driver combination on the DTM grid in 2018. A charming accent and a winning smile off track and an easy-going driving style on track – after just four seasons, Nico Müller has become fully established in the DTM, both as a person and a racer. Particularly in his debut year of 2014 he surprised by delivering a couple of top times in qualifying sessions. Nico Müller celebrated his first DTM win in 2016: At the home race of Audi at the Norisring, he won the second race of the weekend. In 2017, a double podium in Spielberg highlighted his DTM season. It was also a year that included more GT3 racing with the Audi R8 LMS and his debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, when he drove at two events for Mattias Ekström’s EKS rallycross team. At the beginning of 2018, the youngster further emphasised his versatility behind the wheel of a race car by setting the fastest time in the Formula E rookie test in Marrakesh.
