Mike Rockenfeller is the current DTM driver for the brand with the four rings, after Jamie Green, with the highest number of years of racing in the DTM. Since the 2007 season, “Rocky” has been racing for Audi in the popular touring car series and he has been loyal to Audi Sport Team Phoenix since 2012. In parallel to his DTM commitments, he also took part in sportscar racing for Audi for many years, which included victory in the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours with the Audi R15 TDI – fulfilling one of his lifelong dreams. He has since purchased one of the first-generation R15 race cars. In the DTM, he celebrated his first race win in 2011 – shortly before his severe crash at Le Mans, after which he needed to take a break from racing for a few weeks. He made his breakthrough in 2013 with his first championship title. In Audi Sport, ‘Rocky’ found the perfect environment to be successful. Together with his wife Susanne and two sons, Rockenfeller lives a private life on the Swiss side of Lake Constance. He made headlines at the beginning of 2019, when he announced that he would be renouncing all of his social media activities from now on. “That is just not me,” said “Rocky”.
