AUDI SPORT TEAM ABT SPORTSLINE

Thomas Biermaier

The family-owned ABT Sportsline company and Audi have been successful partners ever since their joint super touring car days in the late 90s. The outfit from Kempten was also the one that paved Audi’s way back into the DTM with the Abt-Audi TT-R that it fielded on its own at the beginning of the new millennium. In 2004, the squad became Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline. 2019 marks the 20th season of Team Abt with Audi in the DTM and the 16th one as an Audi factory team. Five DTM drivers’ titles and four teams’ titles are on the Allgäu outfit’s tally. ABT and Audi Sport are also partners in the Formula E electric racing series.

AUDI SPORT TEAM PHOENIX

Ernst Moser

Audi and Phoenix Racing have been partners in the DTM since 2006. Ernst Moser’s squad based in Meuspath near the Nürburgring has won the DTM drivers’ title twice and four times provided the best Audi driver in the overall classification to date. The two champions include Martin Tomczyk in 2011 and Mike Rockenfeller in 2013. Having been active in the DTM since the racing series’ comeback in 2000, the team is one of the most experienced squads in the field. In parallel to its DTM campaign, Phoenix Racing also competes in GT racing with the Audi R8 LMS.

AUDI SPORT TEAM ROSBERG

Arno Zensen

Audi Sport Team Rosberg has been competing as an Audi factory team in the DTM since 2006. In total, the squad looks back on a more than 20-year history. The former Formula 1 World Champion Keke Rosberg formed Team Rosberg in 1994 and took the wheel himself in its first season. Subsequently, many prominent drivers have raced for Team Rosberg. This also includes the team founder’s son, Nico Rosberg, who took his initial steps in motorsport there as well. The 2016 Formula 1 World Champion has increased his involvement with the team that won its first DTM title with René Rast in 2017.

Vincent Vosse

Based in Baudour, Belgium, the W Racing Team (WRT) was founded in 2009 and has been successful from day one. The team has made a name for itself in international racing with numerous victories and championship titles racing with the Audi R8 LMS in GT3 competition. These include triumphs at the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring, Spa, Zolder and Dubai, the 12-hour races at Sepang and Bathurst, as well as several championship titles in the Blancpain GT series, among others with current Audi DTM drivers Robin Frijns, Nico Müller and René Rast. Since 2016, WRT has also been successfully involved in the TCR touring car category, currently with the Audi RS 3 LMS. The team’s entry into the DTM fulfils a long-time dream of team principal Vincent Vosse.
