Nine steps towards season six
SEPTEMBER 2019: A SPECTACULAR NEW DESIGN
For the new season, Audi has crafted a conspicuous exterior design of its two Audi e-tron FE06 Formula E racing cars: the front boasts plenty of visible carbon fibre, with accentuating lines in bright orange across the whole car. Previously, the road-going Audi e-tron had been presented with this aggressive look as well.
“I feel that this is the best-looking car we’ve had in Formula E so far,” says Daniel Abt in commenting about his new ‘company car’. His teammate, Lucas di Grassi, echoes Abt’s statement: “Every look in the five seasons had its unique character, but the FE06 is my favourite.” At the wheel of cars number 66 (Abt) and 11 (di Grassi), the proven pairing will be battling for new victories and titles. The German and the Brazilian have been racing for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler ever since Formula E’s inaugural season and, with a tally of 40 podium finishes and more than 1,000 points, are the most successful driver crew in the series.
According to the regulations, Formula E continues to permit just very limited technical innovations. In the development of the new Audi e-tron FE06, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler has focused on optimising every single detail of the preceding Audi e-tron Audi e-tron FE05: even higher efficiency than before, lower weight, optimised arrangement and accessibility of the powertrain components, plus enhanced software operability.

SEPTEMBER 2019: PRESENTATION AT THE IAA
High above the trade fair stand, at a 90-degree angle on a red wall: in this spectacular style, Audi unveils its conspicuously designed new Formula E racing car to the world at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt/Germany.
The Audi e-tron FE06 is a key element in Audi’s Roadmap E. Premium manufacturer Audi is in a process of consistently transforming itself into a provider of electric mobility and continues to demonstrate its technological expertise in competition on the race track. By 2015, Audi is planning the market launch of more than 30 electrified models.

The driver pairing’s schedule at Valencia is not just dedicated to driving.
