The inaugural event of the legendary 24-hour race took place in 1924 and since 1964 it has been held every year.
Being successful on the 7.004-kilometre roller coaster track in the Ardennes is rewarded in several ways. In addition to the outstanding individual success in the major 24-hour race for GT3 cars, points can be scored in two important championships. In the GT World Challenge Europe, the race carries particular weight because points are awarded after 6, 12 and 24 hours of racing. At the same time, the 24-hour race is the second round of five in the Intercontinental GT Challenge – the only worldwide racing series for GT3 sportscars.
