GT3: FIFTH PLACE IN WORLD CUP
The best Audi Sport driver in qualifying this year was Dries Vanthoor. The Belgian in the Audi R8 LMS of Audi Sport Team WRT entered the qualification race in second position. However, following contact with the guard rail, he retired as early as on lap one. In the main race, he displayed a strong fighting spirit and chased forwards from the 17th and last spot on the grid to eighth position. Kelvin van der Linde was a second Audi Sport driver to lose all chances right in the qualification race when a rival hit him, forcing the South African to retire. In Sunday’s race, he improved from 13th to tenth position.
WEERTS WAS BEST PRIVATEER
