BEST PERFORMANCE FROM AURÉLIEN PANIS

Aurélien Panis will think back on the race weekend in Suzuka with fond memories. In the second qualifying session, the Frenchman driving for Comtoyou Racing matched his previous best performance from Portugal – position six. In the second of three races, he advanced to fourth place and thus improved his previous personal best by three positions. In the third and final race, fifth place again made him the best Audi driver and also presented him with a gift one day before his 24th birthday.
