Electrifying² the desert
Audi is facing one of the greatest challenges in motorsport: The brand with the four rings is taking on the famous Dakar Rally. The alternative drive concept of the Audi RS Q e-tron¹ combines an electric drivetrain with a high-voltage battery and a highly-efficient energy converter². Team Audi Sport made a successful debut at the 2022 edition of the Dakar Rally and scored four stage victories and 14 stage podium results during the two-week event in January 2022. The innovative prototype² was significantly improved for the 2023 Dakar Rally, where Team Audi Sport had good individual results with the Audi RS Q e-tron¹, but also experienced setbacks. With another 14 stage podiums and further experience gained, the preparation now continues for the 2024 Dakar Rally. Cross-country rallying is currently the spearhead of the factory motorsport commitment.
