Formula 1 is more than just motorsport for Audi. The start of our first Formula 1 season marks the beginning of a new chapter for Audi – both on and off the track. We are aiming to demonstrate what can be achieved when people work together towards a common goal. In this sport, where every millisecond counts, efficiency is crucial. It teaches us that focused and precise teamwork makes us strong. Formula 1 is about speed, bold decisions, determination as a team, and a focus on innovation. And it is exactly this mindset that reflects the new Audi spirit.

A new era of Formula 1 began in 2026. How important was the introduction of innovative fuels and the higher share of electric energy for Audi?

We are determined to shape the future of mobility. For us, that future is electric. That’s why the new regulations were the deciding factor for our entry. Given the requirement to use synthetic fuels or fuels produced from renewable biomass and a high proportion of electrical energy, those who use energy most efficiently will have an advantage on the racetrack.
