A woman looks at her phone with the myAudi app. An Audi Q6 is in the background.

A small flashing light – enough at times to throw a driver’s daily routine into disarray if it means a service indicator lighting up unexpectedly. To ensure stress-free driving and high quality, car manufacturers advise customers to take their vehicle to the workshop at predefined intervals, with these intervals usually based on average values and not on individual driving style and actual wear.

Audi makes the maintenance process smart, predictive and convenient: from continuous monitoring of the condition of parts based on time, mileage and sensor data to notifications in the myAudi app* through to making contact via Audi Service Partners. The service you need, when you need it!

Predictive Maintenance*, *, * notifies Audi drivers when certain vehicle parts are no longer working properly due to wear or when potential checks are due. The vehicle can detect existing or foreseeable maintenance or repair requirements thanks to the use of sensitive sensor technology and evaluation of real-time data. This is based on sensors recording data from selected parts while driving. An analysis tool continuously compares this data with the optimal values from intact components – and can thus predict the need for maintenance. The objective is to predict the optimal time to carry out maintenance.

Technology

Customers can see the status of selected wear parts at a glance. For example, information on the current condition of the brake pads or the 12-volt battery is presented clearly in the myAudi app* and the vehicle’s service app. Other details shown include the often overlooked expiry date of the first-aid kit. Thanks to the app, customers can take action early on and prevent potential downtime as far as possible. By activating predictive maintenance in the myAudi app*, the previously appointed authorized dealer contacts the customer if needed when maintenance is required.
