Audi Social Day – Joining forces for a good cause

Get stuck in and help on a voluntary basis: That is the idea behind the Audi Social Day. In their free time, Audi employees spend a day supporting social institutions at the production locations – as is the case again in 2025

Record number at Audi Social Day 2025. There has never been so much voluntary commitment at the Audi locations: More than 1,100 Audi employees worldwide were involved in around 100 social projects around the production locations in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm (Germany), San José Chiapa (Mexico) and Győr (Hungary).

Sabine Steinacker, HR Consultant at the Audi Neckarsulm site, has been involved since the very first volunteer day in 2012. Socially disadvantaged children and young people in the region are particularly close to her heart. At Audi Social Day 2025, she accompanied a canoe trip organized by Jugendhilfe im Lebensfeld Neckarsulm (JuLe).

“This campaign was all about creating wonderful experiences together,” says Steinacker (on the right in the picture). She is also active in JuLe outside of the Social Day and sees the Audi campaign as an opportunity to persuade more colleagues to volunteer. “It is incredibly important to give children who come from difficult backgrounds a different perspective. The joy in the children’s eyes and their gratitude always touch me deeply.”

Other activities on Audi Social Day included kindergartens and facilities for senior citizens or people with disabilities. As an international project, all participating locations organized plogging activities, where employees collect garbage while jogging together.

Exemplifying Audi values and strengthening the team spirit

The company management also lent a helping hand on Audi Social Day: Together with his top managers, Audi Board Member for Human Resources Xavier Ros helped out at a games and barbecue party for people with disabilities at the “Lebenshilfe” organization in Ingolstadt.

Audi General Works Council Chairman Jörg Schlagbauer accompanied a project for refugees in Ingolstadt: “Solidarity means not looking away – but listening, getting involved and taking responsibility. Direct contact with refugees makes it clear how valuable this involvement is. I am proud of how much passion our Audi employees put into their work.”

Through the Audi Social Day, we show how much we care about social interaction and supporting disadvantaged people at our home locations.

At Audi México, Audi Hungaria and several Audi subsidiaries, board members and management also offered their support. In Mexico, the “Nuevo Vicencio” high school in San José Chiapa was the focus of various social projects, while at Audi Hungaria in Győr, employees participated in a total of 11 projects, including at children’s homes, facilities for people with disabilities and sports clubs.

The next Audi Social Day will take place in 2027. But nobody has to wait that long: Audi supports volunteer work by its employees or teams throughout the year via its own digital Audi volunteering platform.

Diverse commitment

Audi supports social causes in a variety of ways: from concrete disaster relief and donations to international organizations, to education, culture, sports and volunteering. Its goal, above and beyond actual business activity, is to add value for society. But corporate citizenship also offers real added value for the company itself – for example, by generating new ideas and fresh impetus.
