To ensure safe products, we focus investment in the research and development of driver assistance and safety systems. In addition, we continuously review all products and services for potential health and safety impacts.

For Audi, a high level of safety for drivers, passengers and other road users is essential. We focus our research and development activities in particular on the further development of driver assistance systems, on safety systems and on research into the causes of accidents.

Audi continuously invests in measures that improve passive safety. Besides improvements to pedestrian protection, the Company is developing such things as extremely strong yet lightweight body components and is continuously improving restraint systems. Audi also wants to help improve overall road safety. The Audi Accident Research Unit (AARU) therefore investigates accidents involving Audi models.
