This is where Audi has put down roots with the site of its corporate headquarters. Audi produces a wide range of models for the world market at its largest production site in Ingolstadt, as well as in Neckarsulm.

With 441,608 cars built in 2019, the Ingolstadt parent plant is the Audi Group’s largest production facility. This is where the Audi A3, Audi A4, Audi A5 and Audi Q2 car lines are built. The plant, in the heart of the German State of Bavaria, is not only AUDI AG’s biggest production facility, but also home to its head offices and Technical Development division. Audi is the region’s biggest employer, with 44,458 employees.

Neckarsulm

Neckarsulm is one of the sites with the biggest product diversity of all the Group’s plants. The assembly lines in Neckarsulm currently produce the A4, A5, A6, A7 and A8 model series. Since 1983, the Audi Sport GmbH (formerly quattro GmbH), which is also based here, produces the Audi R8 and the brand’s sporty RS models. In addition the Audi subsidiary is responsible for automobile individualization and accessories as well as customer motorsport.

At its Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm sites, AUDI AG is bound by the provisions of the 12th German Federal Emission Protection Directive (12th BImSchV; Hazardous Incident Ordinance) for lower-tier operational facilities. The safety of equipment and systems is our highest priority. Our objective is to minimize all potential risks to staff, the environment, equipment and the surrounding areas. The information sheet entitled “Public information in accordance with Section 8a of the 12th BImSchV” contains an overview of all substance groups that are relevant for hazardous incidents, the key aspects of the safety precautions at the sites and information on correct conduct in the event of danger.
